I got to meet the inspiring artist Luke Ramsey this winter. I'm a big fan of his intricate, thoughtful and super tight work. Go take a look at his art on the awsome website: lukeramseystudio.com. Or better yet, go buy something on the islandsfold website where you can also see more of his collaborative works. But for now take a look at what we did together.
Jeff Depner is an artist based in Vancouver. The first time I saw his art was in a gallery on granville island. He had done these fantastic roller coasters. That was long ago. Now he does more abstract paintings and photography. I will own one of his peices one day, maybe you will too.
Yup, Dance outfits, because I really like dancing, especially decked out in inspiring costumes. "Spirit Moves" on thursday nights at the Community Hall. That's about the only time I get dressed up these days. Usually it's just a bunch of us ladies, letting our hair down, as they say, connecting with our inner goddess... and isn't it funny....The guys go to "church" on sunday mornings at the disc golf course. Another case of Venus and Mars? I'm so sick of cliches.
Margaux Williamson is an artist living in Toronto. I really like her loose painting style and the way she uses patterning. All the following images are gathered from her website.
Her paintings are rich, gooey and finger licking good like greasey bbq ribs.
